The American Environment Through Travelers' Eyes
This exhibit, which follows on the heels of "Environmental STEPS: Environmental Education and Action at Lehigh," is part of a celebration of library resources in environmental history planned to commemorate the opening of the new STEPS building. The exhibition is on display in Linderman Library from February 9-July 1, 2011.

The Royal Society and the Origins of Scientific Communication
This exhibit commemorates the founding of the Royal Society in 1660 and highlights recent developments that are transforming scientific communications once again. Some of the highlights of the exhibition are the articles published in the Philosophical Transactions by Isaac Newton, Captain James Cook, Benjamin Franklin and Stephen Hawking. Visitors can also explore Lehigh's role in research and scholarly publishing through the selections from 1870s to 1930s.

"Cartographic Perspectives: From the New World to Your World"
Linderman Library opens a door on the world through its exhibit of cartographic materials from Lehigh's collections. The show features maps of the New World and early world maps, Lehigh University and Bethlehem, Western exploration, and more. Lehigh faculty and students frame this rich collection by providing their own "cartographic perspective" on how to map the world and why maps matter.

The Dalai Lama Visit to Lehigh
His Holiness the Dalai Lama will come to Lehigh University in July 2008 for an historic series of teachings sponsored by the Tibetan Buddhist Learning Center in Washington, N.J., in collaboration with the university.
